Alzheimer’s Association is the leading global health organization in Alzheimer’s care and support. The site offers comprehensive information about the disease: risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment; along with information for caregivers; publications; and other easy-to-access resources.

ElderCare Matters®

ElderCare Matters is a free online resource linked with an alliance of more than 1,400 eldercare experts who assist individuals and families with issues of aging. The site offers help and direction with 68 different services, including elder law, estate planning, geriatric care, insurance, senior housing and more.

Elderlaw Answers

Elderlaw Answers provides legal information and resources useful to older adults, including specifics about social security, Medicare and Medicaid, estate planning and other matters. Elderlaw Answers does not provide legal advice, but can help you locate a qualified elder care attorney near you.

Eldercare Locator

Eldercare Locator is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. The site provides information about agencies in every community that can help older adults and their families access home and community-based services, such as transportation, meals and caregiver support services.

Friends Life Care

Friends Life Care provides an affordable alternative or supplement to long-term care insurance and continuing care retirement communities. The Friends Life Care plan covers comprehensive care management, home care and related support services, and vitality improvement programs. Membership is available to qualified individuals aged 40 to 81 who enjoy reasonably good health and live independently. Friends Life Care, Caring Friends Home Care and Intervention Associates are all nonprofit Quaker-based subsidiaries of Friends Life Care System.

HealthCare.gov

HealthCare.gov acts as the official government clearinghouse for information on health insurance and the health care reform act passed in March 2010. It is the first site to provide data in one place on both private and public insurance options across the nation. Highlights include an insurance options finder, extensive consumer rights information, prevention tips and care assessment tools.

Intervention Associates offers fee-for-service professional care management and legal guardianship without prequalification to people of all ages with all kinds of conditions. A subsidiary of Friends Life Care System, Intervention Associates is one of the oldest and most trusted firms of its kind serving the greater Philadelphia area. Medicare.gov

Medicare.gov is the official U.S. government site for Medicare. The site explains benefits, eligibility and enrollment; provides health management and illness prevention information; and offers links to resources and support, including the downloadable “Medicare and You” handbook.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI is America’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. The site  provides detailed information about mental illnesses (by category), links to a wide range of advocacy and support programs, and a wealth of additional resources.

Special Needs Alliance (SNA)

SNA is a national nonprofit organization of attorneys dedicated to the practice of disability and public benefits law. Individuals with disabilities, their families and their advisors rely on SNA to connect them with nearby attorneys who can help with the unique issues and challenges they face.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Department of Veteran’s Affairs provides comprehensive information on benefits available to military veterans in all branchs of servce, such as medical and education benefits, home loans, survivors’ benefits, and pensions. All services to veterans are explained in detail with links to related government resources.
